The revival of swing and the swing era has opened up the dazzeling world of the '40s & '50s to many people in many different ways. This has led to the birth of numerous vintage and retro clothing websites appealing to this "new" crowd and for those of us who have always loved the glamourous and powerful looks of these eras gone by. We discovered in our exhaustive search for the ultimate dress/outfit was in vain. What we found was a wide range of dowdy '40s day dresses and '50s house dresses that only made us cringe!
